Shoulder arthroscopy is a procedure which allows your surgeon to assess damage to the tissues inside and around the shoulder joint and make repairs via small incisions. The surgeon inserts a tiny camera, called an arthroscope, which allows the surgeon to see inside the shoulder, assess the damage, and make repairs. Having this surgery performed at a hospital with an overnight stay will usually be the most expensive option. Ask your doctor if this surgery can be performed as an outpatient procedure (no overnight stay).
You may encounter other costs associated with shoulder arthroscopy that provide an opportunity for you to save.
