Additionally, Bluebook Plan Design+ can be offered by our partner third-party administrators (TPAs) with a network of their choice and no collection of the member cost share. Cost steerage is decided by the plan sponsor, delivering the flexibility TPAs want.

How It Works

First, we partner with the TPA to analyze data and set the benefit design differential to raise out-of-pocket costs for standard use and lower out-of-pocket costs for high-value providers.
Program details are incorporated into plan docs, the open enrollment guide, and member education materials.
Members utilize Bluebook to search for their care and easily identify high-value providers.
When a claim is received for one of the eligible procedures, it will be confirmed by the TPA if the claim meets the requirements.
If requirements are met, the preferred benefit level is applied.
Bluebook is there to support the member, in conjunction with the TPA, throughout.

  1. The member searches on Healthcare Bluebook’s platform or contacts our team to find high-quality care at a Fair Price™.
  2. They receive their required care from a high-value provider.
  3. The claim is adjudicated, and the out-of-pocket cost is reduced or waived.
  4. If the member doesn’t seek care from a high-value provider, they pay standard out-of-pocket costs.
