An accomplished Human Resources (HR) professional with over 20 years of experience, Julie Freeman joined Healthcare Bluebook in January 2020. Her depth of experience encompasses all facets of HR, from recruiting, hiring and onboarding to coordinating, negotiating and administering benefit packages and leading HR teams.
In addition to developing human resource plans and procedures for all Bluebook employees, Julie is responsible for maintaining compliance with local, state and federal laws. She also provides leadership and guidance on organizational goals, visions and structure, and oversees all aspects of talent acquisition aimed at attracting top talent – individuals who share Bluebook’s vision, are committed to its mission, and fit well within the company’s unique culture.
While talent, skills and experience are key elements of candidate consideration, Julie cites a favorite quote by Angela Lynn Craig that touches on an equally important characteristic: The body may be bought with a paycheck but the heart is earned with a purpose.
Previously, Julie was Chief Human Resources Officer for Martin Ventures, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm and shared services advisory company. She also served in a variety of roles for E+ Cancercare, LLC in which she redesigned the company’s recruiting structure, redeveloped the Kenexa Selection process and implemented the DDI Behavioral-based interview system.
A Nashville native, Julie attended both Southern College (Collegedale, TN) and Volunteer State Community College where she started in nursing but changed her focus to Business Administration. She resides in Mt. Juliet, TN with her husband and son and loves to spend as much time at the beach as possible.
