Chris Welch

Chris rejoined Primus in 2014 to focus on the firm’s investment activities in both education and healthcare information technology. He is currently a Director of American Institutes, BizLibrary, Cayuse, EnableComp, LLC, Harmony Healthcare IT, Hayes Management Consulting, Healthcare Bluebook, Lightbeam Health Solutions, Payspan, and Trilliant Health.

Chris is also actively involved with MEDHOST. Historically, Chris was involved with AOD Software (acquired by MatrixCare), Emmi Solutions (sold to Wolters Kluwer, AEX:WKL), ExactCare Pharmacy (acquired by Nautic Partners) and PathGroup (acquired by The Pritzker Group).

Chris previously worked for The Edgewater Funds, Chicago Growth Partners, and as a Senior Associate of Primus. Prior to joining Primus, he worked for Harris Williams & Co., a leading middle market investment bank. Chris received a BS summa cum laude in Human & Organizational Development and Economics from Vanderbilt University and received his MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
